Region Free DVD Player Modifications

Most of our hardware DVD player modifications contain our best proprietary World Clad technology and the WC-10H and WC-12H chipsets. We meticulously hand modify each DVD player that we make region free by removing existing computer chips and circuit boards and replacing them with our own. None of the region free DVD players that we sell are software modified as this is a much more trouble prone modification that can also involve frequent menu changes and set up.

Our World Clad and PMC-425Z modifications enable our region free DVD player offerings to automatically play any region DVD. As well, our proprietary technology enables the DVD player to automatically convert from PAL to NTSC (the North American Television format). Many DVDs from other countries are produced in PAL format. These DVDs will not play on a normal region 1 or modified code free DVD player unless it is also modified for conversion from PAL to NTSC.

Many of our top region free DVD player models also play REA, RCE, DVD+/-R,DVD+/-RW, VCD, JPEG, and divX depending upon the particular model.

DVD City has been selling modified region free DVD players for more than 9 years and our customers include some of the best universities in the country (over 150 university customers in all). These universities use our region free DVD players for their foreign language laboratories and programs to play DVDs from other countries.
